Salila Thuy began yoga 8 years ago after suffering from the death of several loved ones. Her way of coping with grief and loss was yoga. Instead of fighting herself, she surrendered to herself and practiced daily.

The ambition she possesses motivated her to travel around the world and truly live her life to the fullest. Along her journey, she was immersed in many different enviornments and culture such as Hawaii, Canada, Spain, Italy, France, Croatia, Brazil, Peru, Costa Rica, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and multiple parts of India and many more. Salila Thuy not only met the most interesting people, marveled at exquisite architecture and ate the best foods but she also managed to strike a yoga pose at numerous historical and popular places. This is where the term Yog-istory came into play. She wants to share her stories and travels through yoga and history. Hence, Yogistory.

Vinyasa is her first love. Though, she practices Ashtanga, Bikram and Acro-yoga as well. She received her 200hr E-RYT training certificate at Yoga Journey in Boca Raton, FL with Leslie Glickman.
